Although we will meet many times over the course of construction, there are six key stage meetings that are never overlooked.
Stage 1: Lot Clear
We’ll review the home’s placement and identify any trees to remain. You’ll also be introduced to your Construction Manager, who oversees the day-to-day building process and will be your direct contact throughout construction.
Stage 2: Foundation Pre-Pour
We’ll review the foundation before the pour, identifying floor plug locations and finishes for patios and porches. Our engineer and third-party inspector will inspect the foundation.
Stage 3: Cabinets, Framing, and Mechanicals
Once the home is fully framed and rough-ins for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical are underway, we’ll walk through the home with you. You’ll also meet with our custom cabinetmaker to review and adjust the cabinet package. Special wiring needs are confirmed, and interior selections (flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, hardware, countertops) are finalized and ordered.
Stage 4: Tile
We’ll review all tile locations, especially in tub and shower surrounds, to confirm decorative tile placement and finishes.
Stage 5: Trim
We’ll walk the home to review trim and closet designs. At Casadomaine Custom Homes, we give our homeowners the opportunity to customize their closet layout with our trim carpenter at no additional cost.
Stage 6: Pre-Occupancy Walk
At this stage, the home is complete and has been cleaned. This meeting serves as a home orientation and gives you the opportunity to note any final adjustments needed before move-in.
